On April 15-16, 2024, Associate Professor Wang Qiang from the College of Plant Protection of Northwest A&F University and team members Zhang Huiying, Wei Mengmeng, Zhang Wanlong, and Zhang Hengjia went to the Institute of Plant Protection of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences to participate in the hazard assessment of invasive alien species (diseases and pests) and proliferation risk measurement technology seminar. In order to promote the national census of invasive alien species, the meeting exchanged and discussed technical methods for hazard assessment and analysis of the occurrence of invasive alien pests and diseases based on census and key monitoring data of invasive alien pests and diseases in various regions across the country. At the same time, the meeting also carried out the collection, organization and practical operation of analysis data on the spread risks and economic losses of invasive alien species, and comprehensively discussed the technical difficulties, doubts and problems encountered in the census data mining and analysis process. This event is of great significance in accelerating the analysis of national invasive alien species census data and promoting the successful completion of the national invasive alien species census.
