Crop Disease Forecasting Device Introduced to the Belt and Road Region

On May 30, 2025, an intelligent crop disease forecasting device was installed at the Bishkek Experimental Station of Kazakh National Agrarian University (Figure 1). Professor Xiaoping Hu from Northwest A&F University was invited to deliver a keynote lecture titled "Development and Application of Crop Pest and Disease Forecasting Models." The event was attended by over 30 faculty members and students from the university. Led by Professor Tinatin Doolotkeldieva, the plant protection research team expressed a strong desire to enhance scientific collaboration and joint talent training in this field (Figure 2). Their future work will focus on developing and applying forecasting models for key diseases such as Fusarium head blight and stripe rust of wheat, early defoliation disease, and apple scab in Kazakhstan.
