To strengthen team cohesion and promote communication between faculty and students, the Crop Disease Monitoring and Management Team hosted a lively faculty-student mixed doubles badminton tournament on March 22, 2025. More than 30 team members gathered on the court, showcasing their energy through sports and deepening their bonds through collaboration.
The competition featured three teams, led by Professors Xiaoping Hu, Wenjing Shang, and Yuxiang Li, competing against each other. On the court, faculty-student pairs demonstrated excellent teamwork, seamlessly switching between offense and defense, embodying the spirit of unity and cooperation. Cheers and applause echoed from the sidelines, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. After the matches, the participating professors awarded prizes to the winning players, and everyone gathered for a group photo to commemorate the event.
Using the badminton tournament as a platform, the event aimed to enhance team cohesion in a relaxed and enjoyable setting while promoting a healthy and positive approach to academic life. Participants expressed that the competition not only alleviated the pressures of research but also brought them closer together and ignited their enthusiasm for sports. Professor Xiaoping Hu, the team leader, noted that similar cultural and sports activities will continue to be organized in the future to foster the coordinated development of students' physical and mental well-being alongside their academic innovation.
